Sameer had been living in Pune for almost 9 years now and calling Nagpur ‘home’ now seemed weird to him. So many years he has been living far from his family. His work and subsequently Covid prevented him from going to his hometown for almost 2 years now. Diwali was around the corner and this year his family was persuading him continuously to visit. He was also trying his best to wrap up his work to finally be there with his family.

The festive stars were in his favour and he managed to finish all his work to take two weeks off. His euphoria was on peak during the whole travel. Moving around Nagpur in the cab was a nostalgic treat for him. Every road reminded him of a memory from his teenage life, a phase when life was easier. It was one joyful ride before he finally got home and hugged all the members a little longer than usual. A few tears escaped almost everyone’s eyes.

His family planned the perfect welcome for him by ordering the best chocolates and pastries from his favourite bakery in Nagpur. He enjoyed the blueberry chilled cheesecake and chocoholic cake, which have been his childhood favourites.

Coming home and taking a hint of his childhood back with him was one of the best experiences Sameer has had in a while. Diwali was indeed delightful.
